Week 8-MBA6101- Class Overview

 MBA 6101- Class Overview

As I finish up my last assignments for MBA 6101: Digital Branding and Marketing, I wanted to share my thoughts on my takeaways. I initially thought the class was going to be all about social media and digital advertising, but I was pleasantly surprised to see much more content than that. Through this course, I learned about quantum computing, importance of artificial intelligence, and marketing strategies. This was done through textbook reading, creating blogs such as the one you are reading now, and hands on experience by running my own ad campaign. Alot of these topics tied back to my day job where I help businesses improve their supply chains; part of that is their online order process and how to increase revenue. From my hands on experience with running an ad campaign, I now know what my customers are going through and how challenging it can be to drive traffic back to a website.

I also learned about the importance of quantum computing and artificial intelligence in marketing. Marketing is so data driven right now, and everything is done intentionally. In the 20th century, marketing seemed to be more visual with little strategy behind the concepts. Now, customer traffic, conversion rates, first impressions and social media are driving marketing strategies. This is all data that can be analyzed and with artificial intelligence, decisions can be made without human interaction. This is going to change the way companies' market and it will be interesting to see what some brands do in this new digital environment.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the class and I learned more than I thought I was going to. The hands-on approach gave me the opportunity to apply what I learned, and the weekly posts allowed me to process the information.
